A Bit About Shanda As In Panda
I'm a Southern California native who spent my younger years coming to Catalina Island to visit my grandparents, who had the island's golf cart rental business. I have since moved to Avalon and am focused on using my photography skills to make visitors' events and experiences truly memorable.

My strong work ethic was formed on Catalina Island, with early jobs in retail and the service industry. I also helped my grandparents with their business ventures, and I was married in the ballroom of the island's casino.
​
Photography has always been my first love, so I pursued a degree in photo communications from Cal State Fullerton. My enjoyment of the outdoors also led me to the Channel Islands, where I spent a summer with the National Park Service on Santa Barbara Island as a field research assistant conducting a study of the reproductive success of the sea birds in 1994 while in college. I then continued my passion of photo-journalism to work with ESPN and Disney with Knock Out Digital Inc.

My love for sports also led to a career specializing in golf tournament photography, where I make sure participants have a good time and fun images to remember their experience. www.shandaphotographic.com

I started my photography business with the vision of shooting weddings on Catalina Island. Opportunity showed up and now you can find me available for photography, videography, livestream productions and onsite printing on the island.
​
I know the ins and outs of special locations on the island, and my professional experience and enthusiasm will add to the fun of your event and time here.
​
My other photography services include corporate headshots, family portraits, elopements, engagements, weddings, quinceañeras, bar mitzvahs, product photography, graduations and pets. I also recently purchased a 1969 VW bus and turned it into a cool photo booth experience.
